We got the preliminary floodplain engineering application today. After I pay Terry Hsu, the engineer, we can begin the permit process. Another baby step completed though.
We went down to Terry Hsu's farm to pay him. He has a nice little place just to the south-east of Salem, a very nice wife, and what appears to be two children.
The Hsu's sold us their Orpington flock of hens. Mrs. Hsu was in poor health and they decided to scale down their farm a bit. The new birds settled in poorly using the space we had so we built a new coop, which did no better. Eventually we built another coop and everyone is quite happy about it. By the time I wrote this we were selling maybe eight dozen eggs a week, in Winter!. I wish we were closer to the Hsus place, they are nice people.
