It comes on like a truck, bearing down from nowhere and moving fast. The main symptoms are over in a week but I can see there was some danger in the upper respiratory aspects of it in the first few days. Coughing until you are out of air isn't as fun as it sounds. Robatussin worked pretty well but the muscle pain from coughing was three days of badness. This past week has been mostly chest congestion and brain fog, but cold pills do the job of slowing the cough. We spotted this as COVID right away because we had it in 2019.
Mask up. Get the shot. Stay away from people if you can. Hopefully we learned the lessons of 2020, but the President likely didn't. If this gets loose like it did back then you'll need to follow better council.
