April 29, 2017 An Electrical Baby Step

We got the permit yesterday to put a temporary meter box on our pole yesterday. Once we have the power, we will have the well pump and a place to put our tiny home trailers. We have been collecting the parts for a little while and just needed the time to put thing together, but the permit was issued yesterday. So today we went out to put the box up and forgot about half of the parts. Not a total loss though.

We burned about twelve yard of debris, cut down a few small problem trees, and cut down one forty foot Douglas Fir that was between the PGE's power pole and our power pole, making way for the wire they will bring sometime during the next week. We will go bock our tomorrow, maybe Monday, and attach the meter box and all to our pole, get the thing inspected, and call PGE out to do their thing. All will electrified by next week God willing.

Another baby step, one of many that are going ahead every week now. With any luck we will be living on the Farm full time mid-June, our home sold by late August, our new home build by November-December.

April 10, 2017 Shop Siding and Flooring

We spent the past weekend working toward the dream.

Saturday we went up to Woodland, Washington  and bought enough siding and sub floor plywood to build the first tiny home. The people were nice and the siding cheap.

Sunday we had bigger plans. First thing we went out into the wilds of Oregon to collect plants and interesting wood to decorate the beds in front of the house. We found Trillium, Shamrock, and Creeping Jennie, along with some mosses and a few interesting fungii. Then we cleaned up the front beds and started planting using the stuff we found.

We also used plants and dirt taken from jobs we have been doing along the way. A big part of our plan is to re-purpose and recycle wherever we can. So far we have found quite a bit of help in the cast offs from our business.

We are doing all that we can as we wait to deliver Cinnamon's pups to Critter Cabana, and the few pups we sold topeople directly. The plan is to buy the framing lumber for the tiny house next weekend, perhaps the roofing materials as well.
